The Port Alberni Friendship Center (PAFC) offers programs and activities that will enhance the lives, relationships, cooperation, and understanding of all peoples in Port Alberni and the surrounding areas. The Centre offers counselling, recreation programs, youth employment training, outreach and legal advocacy programs, public health services, social events, crafts and cultural events. The Centre is a welcoming place with a friendly drop-in atmosphere.
The PAFC wanted a website that displays their commitment to Community while bringing all of their programs together under one, streamlined design. We began by using PAFC’s imagery to throughtfully reflect current and past activities with the community in the Port Alberni region. This helped structure content over each page and made the information more digestible. We highlighted the Centre’s numerous resources, facility rentals, childcare centre, and also implemented a job board on the site.
The final design is a clean website that runs smoothly on all computers and mobile devices. Our focus on improved accessibility allows community members to easily access the many services offered by the Port Alberni Friendship Center.
